Hello
My name is Leon Tian. I'm an upcoming first-year student at UCSC. I'm majoring in neuroscience on the pre-med track. I hope this path takes me to my ultimate goal of becoming a psychiatrist.
My Story
I was originally planning on majoring in computer science until I took AP Psychology my junior year of high school. After that, I became heavily interested in psychology, neuroscience, and the human brain in general. I founded the Psychology Club, took community college psychology courses, and even got into a neuroscience summer program at Stanford. It was at this program where this idea was born. I was put into a group of seven students and one mentor. In two weeks we brainstormed an idea that solves a real-world problem, created a prototype, and designed a sales pitch presentation which we presented to a board of professors, doctors, scientists, faculty, and parents.
